The Redemption is an iconic design that features screen-quality hand weathering. The flange emitter is lightly sanded and then chemically darkened to a smoke chrome. The solid brass wind vane neck was lightly sanded and chemically darkened then polished with steel wool, and the upper grenade body has been dusted with rust enamel and lightly weathered along with the gear's lower body. The switch section and pommel are bright chrome and provide a beautiful accent. This is an elegant weapon, from a more civilized age.

That Wizard's Just A Crazy Old Man

Redemption | Weathered | Veteran Electronics | Medium Blue Blade ::: I cannot speak highly enough of this saber. The build quality for the hilt and the "lived-in" weathered look are both outstanding. I love that the blade screws into the hilt (way more secure than my older Ultrasaber hilt/blade). The blade itself is nice and bright, and the internal electronics are wizard. My only 2 minor nitpicks are the difficulty of changing the saber's volume (more just my frustration that *I* personally have difficulty doing it) and the bubble strip cover for the activation switch is a little jiggly because of the way it connects via magnets. The idea is totally sound, though, and I'm not really too worried about it. I'm already planning to order a second blade (deep blue) and either the "Ancient Master" or a shoto saber for my kid. I ordered this saber during Black Friday of 2022 and received it BEFORE Christmas. Granted, I live just down the coast from Saberforge, but if you're patient, and pay attention to lead times, their estimatets are very accurate. If you want an extremely high-quality, duel-ready saber, look no further!

    Beautiful saber!

I've always been a big fan of these thin neck hilt designs. I first bought the prodigal son because growing up, it was always my favorite. I remember when ROTJ first came out and I was instantly in love with the vibrant green and the 80's design. I knew I would end up getting more SF sabers and when I saw the redemption with its battle worn, tarnished look like kenobis' in episode 4, I knew that was the next one. This thing is a beast though! It's got a lot more "junk in the trunk" than the prodigal son. The hilt is definitely back end heavy which actually helps to balance it out nicely and I have pretty large hands so it fits me just fine. I really like that grenade style upper body, as it gives a pretty good grip in the hand.

The only real weak point of these Saber designs in my opinion is the activation switch card with the magnet set up. The cards will fall off much too easily if dueling or LARPing. I think some kind of micro hinge or tiny pin setup milled into the card and housing along with the magnet would work a lot better. I have a couple other ideas for a small mod to improve the holding power and still have fast access to the charge port.

All in all though, I am a happy camper and I'm really glad I went with the 32" blade this time. I had gotten the 37" originally with my prodigal son and it always just seemed off balanced. The 32" are MUCH better and still look like a full sized Saber. I went ahead and got a 32" blade in green as well for my prodigal son. Way happier with that length.

Also ended up getting a couple of the new Saber stands, and they are awesome. Very polished look for not a lot of money.

    Always wanted a weathered Obi-Wan!

Looks great, feels great, & love the weathering on the grenade section & thin neck emitter. Something about it with the weathering that truly makes it fit the lore & feel like this is a Cannon Obi-Wan after Order 66 when it's in your hands. If I would recommend any Obi-Wan lightsaber it would be this just because of how much work goes into it, & why buy one & pay to get it weathered from someone else. It probably wouldn't come out as good as it would from scratch. And if your wored about the blade not fitting tightly, the threaded blade is a very tight fit & comes with an extra port for a screw to hold it in place making a super tight fit.
