Great Saber has a lot of details if you want the staff it doesn't line up perfectly but mine is pretty close that it's not a big deal to me.
Bought these in May with the May 4th sale. They arrived in early august and I love them so much. The lights and sounds are exactly what I was looking for. Bonuses that I wasn't expecting like sound fonts and volume control made it so much better. They arrived during the time period that the order predicted. The bonus goodies from the sale don't hurt either. Don't forget to buy the timing shims if you want them to line up correctly.
I only have two very minor complaints. (1) You cannot add a covertech knob to the top of the Mauler(since that is where the on off button is) so you can't make it that much closer to the look of prop its based on.
(2)The two red and silver faux buttons are screwed on which means that they come loose during heavy use. Make sure you're tightening them every once in a while.
Hilt is great but the reflective plastic that I assume is supposed to be in the blade was not. I also did not receive the key to remove the bolt in my hilt so I can connect the two.
I have had the Hasbro toy Maul Saber for years and the boys and I love playing with it; so I decided it was time for an upgrade. I got medium red LED and a coupler for them to become a fan classic staff. The details are certainly are amazing. I am also impressed at the range of sound fonts via the Veteran option. Lastly the SF team was thoughtful enough to supply the necessary coupler too (just need to tweak with some shims)! Well worth every dollar spent!
Both hilts feel amazing in my hands but when put together it’s even better.
Our saber blades (Excluding Pixel blades) are rated for full contact dueling. Capable of withstanding heavy dueling, even against kendo bokkens, and nylon hema wasters. During the machining process, some sabers may develop sharp edges. Before any contact dueling (as with any type of dueling), we recommend wearing proper safety protection for your hands, body and face. This includes but is not limited to: gloves, body armor, face masks, and helmets. Always take the proper safety measures before dueling of any kind. Saberforge is not responsible for any injuries that result from saber play, combat choreography or dueling.
