The six month wait was totally worth getting this saber with the Gen 3 Thread in blade.
The stainless steal shroud around the LED module adds rigidity, and has given me confidence while dueling.
The saber itself is stunning; the chrome does not retain fingerprints as much as I expected, and the anodized grooves are quite comfortable.
I definitely prefer the new desin to the Mk1 Avenger, the hilt is overall far more comfortable.
The hilt is just large enough for a two handed grip, (my hands are large, spanning 9in pinky to thumb) and is comfortable to spin.
The pommel does dig into my off hand slightly, and the speaker is not as loud as I had hoped, although it is adequate. Volume can be adjusted.
On a final note the customer service was exemplary; every email and inquiry was answered, and Phil Isherwood personally answered many of my questions regarding the new Gen 3 Thread In blade's development, which was the cause of my 6 month wait. After seeing vids of blades breaking, it was really great to see SaberForge implement a fix, and it's been awesome being one of the first to get the new design.

I have been chasing an affordable and accurate TPM/AOTC Obi Wan for a long time and this feels like I've finally found the saber I've been looking for. I also own an earlier model saberforge Avenger and I can say that this is a major leap forward in accuracy and quality from the original. That original was still much better than other comparable options even the officially licensed versions. It scratched my itch for a prequel Obi Wan well for a long time, especially with how bad it considered the switch placement on other manufacturers commonly placed in the front and ruining the lines of the grip area. Even the name brand licensed version did this. The switch placement alone on the MK3 is a game changer for me, but combined with the extra details such as the glass eye on the brass greable, the reduction in overall size and the finish this saber is absolute perfection. This is the visually the star of my collection now. I've also been into the custom saber scene for some time and have a lot of different model soundboards in a range of hilts. My TCSS saber is probably my oldest hilt and the old nano biscotte is limited to a single sound font at a time and wired with a single color LED. It has no smooth swing and to change between colors i have to not only manually swap the led module but also swap out the SD card with one set to different LED power settings. That said I've actually preferred this older programmable SD card board over the saberforge First Harvest boards on some of the hilts I've purchased from saberforge in the past. Yes, the First Harvest boards have smooth swing, and I can use the single switch to configure the sound, blade effects and change color. However, I was never really completely satisfied with any of the included fonts and the smooth swing continued to feel much more stiff and unnatural compared to iconic movie audio. The RGB golden harvest in this hilt is excellent. Not only are the sound font selections dramatically improved but it is also programmable and configurable by PC just like the nano, plus it can still be configured well from the single switch for color, effects, etc. The smooth swing in the Golden Harvest board sounds natural and deep in the right sound font, and I can now configure all the fonts to remove the audible description when powering up from sleep and use a more innocuous bot sound, something that really bugs me on the standard fonts in the First Harvest boards. No more load, "The Master," "Prodigal Son," or "Heirloom" announcements before I can ignite the blade after every 5 minutes of downtime. This will be a huge improvement to the feeling of immersion while handling this saber. I'm also not a fan of pixel blades. I have several but I still much prefer the more powerful single light source inside the hilt. That is still an option with the Golden Harvest and Saberforge RGB installs. I really can't recommend this model enough if you're a fan of this design.

Pre-installed sound fonts are great, they have a very clean sound….

.I wish the speaker was louder I own the EPOCH MK3 ECO Elite from saberforge and the speaker on that at 40% volume is the avengers on 100% other than that looks amazing very bright blade.

And the golden harvest pixel saber editer is amazing!!

The saber is awesome! Only one suggestion- I know there's a tab on the site for what commands corresponds to what effect, but not one specifically for Golden Harvest RBG. Also, a list with what sound-font correlates with what character/easier to recognize soundfont boot up names. Otherwise, great so far.

Did not disappoint absolutely incredible craftsmanship and such a joy to use! My first purchase but definitely not my last
