Saber Operation 

Out of the box

Your hero Pixel saber will arrive semi-charged in deep sleep mode. Press the power button to turn on the saber and enter standby modeStandby mode is when the saber is on but the blade is not lit. Active mode is when the blade is lit. 

Standby Mode

[Power On] To turn on the saber tap the power button. When the blade is lit, this is called active mode.

[Change Sound Font] - Hold button until audio plays to cycle to the next font.  This is only available in standby mode. There are 25 preinstalled fonts.

[Reset Saber] - Hold button for 10 seconds.

Note: Pointing the saber up or down will change sound font progression forwards or backwards.

Note: After some inactivity in standby mode, the saber will return to deep sleep.

Active Mode

[Blaster Block] - Tap button. Saber will play a blaster block sounds and a responsive light effect will flash on the blade.

[Force Push] - Hold button while twisting the saber (doorknob motion) parallel to the ground. A force push sound will play while the blade shimmers and temporarily changes color.

[Stab] - Hold saber parallel to the ground and use a stabbing motion to activate the effect. A responsive light effect will appear the the tip of the blade.

[Melt] - Hold button for 1 second and release then perform a stab. Saber will play a melt sound and flash a responsive light at the tip of the blade.

Note: If you did not hold the button long enough, or there is too much time between button release and Stab, the saber will not activate Melt.

[Activate Lock-Up effect] - Hold button for 2 seconds. Release button and tap button again. A flash of responsive light and lock-up sounds will play.

Note: If there is too much time between button holds or if you did not hold but button long enough, the saber will not activate Lock-Up.

[Deactivate Lock-Up effect] - Tap button and the saber will deactivate effect.

[Power Down] - Hold button for 3 seconds or until the blade turns off. This will return you to standby mode.

Changing blade colors (While in Active Mode)

[Activate Effects Menu] - While in active mode Hold button for 2 seconds. Release button, then hold again for 2 seconds. There will be an audio cue.

Note: If there is too much time between button holds, the saber will not enter the Color/Effects Menu.

[Change blade color] - Twist saber (doorknob motion). Continue twisting to progress through:

  • 6 "classic" color options
  • 8 "color flow" color options
  • 10 "frozen pulse" color options
  • 11 "wave" color options
  • 3 "flame" color options
  • 6 "gradient" color options

Note: pointing your saber up while changing colors will cycle forward. Pointing down while changing colors will cycle backward.

[Change blade effect] - Tap button to change flicker/pulse effects. Continue tapping to progress through 21 different effects.

[Confirm Blade Color/Effect Selection] - When you have chosen a blade color and/or blade effect option, hold button until audio confirmation plays.  

[Exit Effects Menu] - Hold button for 2 seconds or until audio plays.

Color Wheel Option

The Color Wheel option of your Hero Pixel saber allows for real time editing of your blade color, as well as the color of:

  • Stab
  • Lock-up
  • Force Push
  • Melt
  • Blaster Block
  • Clash

[Enter Color Wheel Mode] - While in Active Mode, hold button for 1 second and release. Then twist saber (doorknob motion). Audio cue will play to confirm Color Wheel Mode entry.

[Change color of current option] - Twist your saber to cycle through 360 degrees of color options.

[Confirm color choice/progress to next customization option] - Tap button to confirm selection and progress to next color customization option.

[Exit Color Wheel Mode] - Hold button at any point during customization.

Note: When you have progressed through all color customization options, you will automatically exit Color Wheel Mode.

Checking Battery Level

 Your Hero Pixel saber has a battery level indication function. When you perform a Battery Level Check, audio will play and tell you the current voltage level of your saber. If your Pixel Blade is inserted while checking the battery level, it will ight up in correspondence to the battery level.

For example: if your battery level is at 100%, your blade will fully illuminate. If your battery level is at 50% only half of your blade will light up.

 [Battery Level Check] - While in Standby Mode, hold button and stab saber. Audio cue will play to activate Battery Level Check. Listen to audio for current battery level.

Your Hero Pixel saber arrives fully calibrated. Calibrations accuratly detect your sabers current battery level. You do not need to recalibrate your saber.

If by accident you perform a battery calibration, fully charge your saber and recalibrate your saber by following the steps below.

[Calibrate Battery] - While Battery Level Check is active, stab saber again to calibrate battery.

    My blade is blinking white and does not respond to any button taps. How can I fix that?

    The white blinking indicates that your microSD card is not inserted properly or some files or folders are missing on it.

    There is no sound or stuttering sound. How can I fix that?

    Please recharge your saber.
