Super cool saber with stunning looks. It has a good weight to it too. But the fact that the killswitch is hidden inside the shell of the body kinda irritates me though.
It's great I really love the new features compared to standard plus it feels badass to hold
The wait was worth it. My only gripe is trying to figure out how to operate it. I'm not tech savvy, and I couldn't find well laid out instructions on the website on how to get it going. I had no idea what a kill switch was until I checked through several videos online. So, once I got that out, I fired up. I bought two sabers and they have been great for getting me off my ass and exercising again. Live action beat saber is better than any VR game. 10/10 satisfied. I hope to buy more sabers in the future to make all my friends get up and do some routine sparring to prepare ourselves for the sith filth.
I based a Character on this saber and holding it in real life is just some kind of magic.
One of the most up to date designs, hidden recharge and potentially swappable grip section... the twist in blade adds so much more in the way of easier.
The design grew on me and its just perfect!
It's very comfortable to hold (i was worried that the grips on the body would be to big, they are not). And the Pixel blade is amazing to see in person.
Saberforge was very helpful with answering my (email) questions, and making sure the saber went to the right address (while we were moving).
The only down sides (with the saber) are:
The blade plug does not light up when you have the Pixel electronics (it would need a light for that).
The Hero +Pixel is kind of hard to learn how to control with one button (I think it might be easier with 2 buttons?).
The ring on the pommel rattles (just makes noise) when you swing the saber.
When you unscrew the body to get to the charge port, the threads feel rubbery so (personally) its hard to know how much to tighten it.
But other then that, its a Excellent Saber!
Our saber blades (Excluding Pixel blades) are rated for full contact dueling. Capable of withstanding heavy dueling, even against kendo bokkens, and nylon hema wasters. During the machining process, some sabers may develop sharp edges. Before any contact dueling (as with any type of dueling), we recommend wearing proper safety protection for your hands, body and face. This includes but is not limited to: gloves, body armor, face masks, and helmets. Always take the proper safety measures before dueling of any kind. Saberforge is not responsible for any injuries that result from saber play, combat choreography or dueling.
