First Saber: NO REGRETS!

I will admit the estimated wait and shipping times need to be adjusted, BUT it was definitely worth it! I couldn't ask for a better customizable saber than this and I will be making another purchase in the near future!!!

Excellent

I ordered this saber as a Christmas present, but since I ordered a few extra parts with it, I opened it up to make sure it was all in there. I am yet to turn it on, so this is more of a hilt review. But I got to hold it and it was glorious. I have only ever held an ultra saber, and this felt so good compared to it. And it is absolutely worth the extra money for the blade plug, it really completes the look very well. With a 32 inch blade the center of mass is closer to the blade, but I do like that. Also, the pictures do not do the weathered finished justice, and in person it looks so much less manufactured. The feel of it in my hand is so nice and sleek. Very solid. With my old ultra saber, you can here the batteries rattling around inside, but not with this one, it’s solid as a rock. There are no sharp edges on this model, and the choke point feels great as well. Zero complaints.

Pretty, but proffie lacking colors like white.

I got the proffie pixel blade, it's very bright. The weathered hilt looks nice, too. Although I wish white were a selectable color in the "color wheel" mode. I know it's capable of white, because blade effects like blaster deflection cause white. So if only the whole blade could be white, if I so choose.

Also I wish it were rated for dueling. I understand that the proffie pixel upgrade is unfit for dueling, but I didn't know that Tri-Cree wasn't (I thought it would be, but a response from an employee stated it's not rated for dueling). Luckily I didn't get the Tri-Cree (if I'm getting a saber not for dueling, best be pixel blade then lol) but I do wish communication on if these are dueling rated were a bit more clear. These are pre-assembled sabers for lazy customers like me who'd rather not build our own, so it's no fun researching your saber only to find out it isn't dueling rated.

Anyway, it's good, love the hilt and pixel blade is bright. Just wish I could have a white blade color or an ECO saber option that's rated for dueling, since neither are.

Durable as anything you'll find out there

This may be the first online review I've ever written for any product ever, but I have to give this thing a ringing endorsement.
I'll be honest: in the few weeks I've had this saber, I have not exactly treated it well. I wanted one that looked good but wasn't so fancy that I would be worried about hurting it. I knew I would be using it as a costume piece at parties as well as for some light sparring, and I figured that with that use it would develop its own dings and scratches to give it the character of a well-used weapon of a jedi/sith. I accidentally dropped it in sand and on asphalt. I forgot it overnight out in the woods in a pile of dead leaves. I sparred some friends of mine who had kendo shinai. And yeah, its got a few love marks on it now, but it still works like a charm, zero issues. To be clear, I DO NOT recommend that you treat your saber as I have. But with that said, I am thoroughly impressed with how it has held up. If you have any misgivings about this thing breaking on you, put them aside. As long as you are not actively hacking at a tree with it trying to break the blade, it will be fine.
As for the electronics, the RGB looks great. The sound is awesome, though I've found that its really only three fonts (The High Ground, The Count, and The Dark Lord) that fully sound like what I expect a lightsaber to sound like, but that's more of a personal taste. Only thing that's been a little annoying is when the saber is on but not activated, I often accidentally change the sound font because turning motion controls off only turns them off when the saber is activated, but that is pretty minor considering how great everything else is. Very happy with my purchase.

Our saber blades (Excluding Pixel blades) are rated for full contact dueling. Capable of withstanding heavy dueling, even against kendo bokkens, and nylon hema wasters. During the machining process, some sabers may develop sharp edges. Before any contact dueling (as with any type of dueling), we recommend wearing proper safety protection for your hands, body and face. This includes but is not limited to: gloves, body armor, face masks, and helmets. Always take the proper safety measures before dueling of any kind. Saberforge is not responsible for any injuries that result from saber play, combat choreography or dueling.
