from 3060 reviewsThis saber is perfect for anyone looking to bring that Sith look to their cosplay. It's a little big to perform a lot of spins, but brings a sense of power to duels instead.
Overall, it has excellent craftsmanship and a beautiful design.
The ridge along the underside of the grip will take some getting used to, but it looks absolutely savage. I wasn't sure about it when I handled one in the showroom, but in the end, this was absolutely the right choice.
I had heard about SaberForge in passing, and thought my Hasbro FX Series models were cream of the crop. I couldn't have been more wrong. I made my way to the SaberForge showroom to build a fully custom saber using the adaptive parts program. The selection and customization options are mindboggling (but incredibly fun).
I went with a First Harvest Plug & Play system for my hilt. I wanted something I could DIY but fell short of wiring my own soundboard. The install was a little trickier than I thought it would be - the wired clips are very sensitive - but with some help for Marie in the showroom everything got locked and loaded. It's an amazing electronics package. The sound options are impressive and varied. The color range is awesome for creating a nuanced blade effect. It all houses firmly in the hilt body. Note that you may want to apply a small bit of gaff tape to the inside of the hilt if there's any extra space (prevents rattling). Once fully assembled, the weight and substance of the saber is impressive, most impressive. Cannot wait to put it through some paces.
Overall, terrific experience and I learned a ton about building sabers. So happy with it.
Just got this saber, today; and it’s a beauty. Feels good in my hand, and is more a work of art. Bought multiple sabers from SF, including a custom ASP, and they pale in comparison to this magnum opus.
This is the Mk. 4, and takes a regular blade, so you need the Allen key and retention screws, but that makes it more user-friendly.
The switch is in the back, which is odd since it’s behind the handgrip, but that’s how it was portrayed in Star Wars; so no points lost for lore consistency.
SaberForge should make the variant of Dooku’s saber from “Tales of the Jedi,” I would buy that one in a heartbeat.
Wasn’t sure what to expect with this but was very impressed with quality and its way more impressive than I could have hoped for. Excellent all the way through
I expected it to be good, but not this good!
It was worth every penny, thank you!
It looks unyielding, but it's basically an emiter as a pommel. Works well as a rear choke.
It's a great choke, but also I find my handing grabbing it when I need to swap hands or just want a fencing grip. Way* more useful than you'd think.
I hate original covertech belt clips because it's very hard to release one-handed. Not only is this super easy to use with your covertech wheel, but it adds a hook!
Has such a nice look but also it's shape makes for an excellent hand guard
Very real. Very metal. A very satisfying "clink" When you stack them.
This is quite honestly one of the best sabers I have ever fought with, and by far the best staff. The size is authentic to the original style of staff (not like Maul's, which was the length of 2 normal-sized hilts), and the blades are extremely durable. I have sparred with this for 3 months now and am very pleased to notice almost no difference in the blades. The customization options were very helpful when making this saber, as none of the regular staffs had emitter options that fit the vibe I was going for. The soundboard is extremely satisfactory, with the only drawback being the inability to access the SD card (more of a hilt problem, but regardless). My only other small complaint is that there is one battery powering both LEDs and so the battery lasts for ~1 hour on full brightness, and ~2-4 hours on half or less. It's not really a problem, but I do long sessions and it has been moderately annoying, however all the benefits very much outweigh this. The ability to change sound fonts and light color (with so many options and a color pallet) is amazing. The price was also really good for all the features and while the stunt electronics (I got the Xeno V3) is expensive and may scare customers to cheaper, crappier options, like Ultrasabers (This happened to me, and I severely regret it), getting even basic light and sound from other saber options from here, let alone the V3 option on this one, is definitely better.
Saberforge, you've done a really good job with this and all your other products. I grant you the rank of Master.
I am superhappy with the saber and with Saberforge in general. I waited not even four weeks (living in Austria/Europe) and received an amazing, beautiful and perfectly functioning saber. Thanks!
