Just like many things here, I am very satisfied with the quality of construction put into the parts. Of course, the "plates" are illusory and not removable, but that does not detract from it's looks. 4 inches in length, it makes up most of the length of my hilt, and looks lovely in either configuration, but I installed it "upside-down" so the covertec knob I eventually acquire would be toward the middle of the hilt. The body is exactly what I was hoping for on my hilt.
My hilt also uses the outcast pommel, micro switch, and the gladius emitter. It all fits together very well (it is honestly really satisfying when the thread "clicks " when you find the beginning of the threads) and does not want to come apart. It has no trouble being disassembled, and is very tight right when you assemble it.
The hilt is just under 8 inches in length, what I expected and desired, so make sure to check the lengths of the parts to make sure the saber is how you want it to be. I recommend adding the numbers and view how that would be with a tape measure.
So far I do not have electronics installed, as a heads up when you view the image.
