Just got my beautiful golden harvest v3 build using adaptive saber parts. Was in love with the saber right out of the box... theeeen I fired it up with a preset and the blade plug, all seems well... still very happy at that point... until i swap the plug for my pixel blade (that is missing a crucial component that makes a GH/pixel saber work at all; the round copper PCB connection point in the bottom of the blade) started trying to fiddle with the basic settings menu and thats when i truly realized a critical piece of the pixel blade included with the order was missing and that i wasnt mistakenly sent a baselit blade or something. This gives the saber, particularly when lit in a dark room, the appearance of a 10$ knockoff. It also makes navigating the setting menu within the saber nearly impossible to use in any meaningful way and in fact makes you more likely to mess up the settings and make the blade not work at all than it is going to get the saber to function as intended. I'm not quite sure how or why this happened with my particular saber as they claim they test the sabers fit and function both after assembly is complete and just prior to shipping. They take forecer to respond to CS issues and enails are often 4 days apart like a long gane of tag so I ended up ordering a bullet tip 1" x 32" pixel blade from Damiensabers Amazon store page becauae I prefer that look to the round tip from saberforge anyway and didnt feel like waitong up to 3 weels for the replacement blade thatbshouldve worked from the start.. but I'll be interested to see how this can be rectified at this point. All in all the adaptive saber build had been a fantastic experience up until this point.
After purchasing, my only other complaint would be about the emitter. It's the clone wars era Ahsoka style emitter which is a two piece emitter. I noticed when I took it off 2 piece of blue tape were used to get it to fit more snug, however it still rattled around a bit when you slipped the outer chrome sleeve back on so I removed the blue tape to co firm thatsbwhy it was even on there, and it was, the rattling became worse. I solved this with 2 tiny pieces of black duct tape inside the lower part of the emitter sleeve and now its a true form fit feel and I'm truly in love with the hilt.
Hopefully I can just use the 100$ the blade is worth for a rebate on another adaptive saber build since I really want to make this a duel wield setup with a shorter 2nd blade considering I've already replaced the broken pixel blade with one that has a better shape and actually had to pcb board on the bottom...
I was also quite disappointed I couldn't use any sort of ringlit switches or eco emitters considering this setup does in fact use a USB 2.0 for charging and in hilt date transfer whereas I'd expected a USB C at least considering it's a golden harvest and I had to forgo my ringlit switches on top of the pricetag.. but that's something I know now, amd on the fute I'll just order empty hills and do my own electronics.
