I got this saber along with a shoto version and I rarely put it down
The craftsman ship and finishes are absolutely gorgeous. The weight balance and length of the handle was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately there is a minor but unforgettable flaw - the distance between the covertech knob and the kill key. I am unsure how everyone else is flipping this around with ease, when I feel like my hand creeps away from the leather grip towards the kill key. This could easily be remedies by moving the covertech knob just 1/2" down towards the pommel. As it stands, I am pondering making this my shoto, despite the fact I had been wanting the oracle set. Thankfully, I have my husband's two sabers (Also saberforge and superb) to play with before making a decision. All in all, I absolutely love all of my choices and the quality, but it isn't performing how I wanted it to. My scale for 3.5 is based on: 1 is abysmal, 2 is missed the mark, 3 is met expectations, 4 is above and beyond, 5 is best of the best.
After a few weeks of owning the saber, heres everything I've noticed. I think the saberforge blades are pretty decent, definitely not the best, but not the worst. I personally got a new one because the tip keeps coming loose but it's
just my preference. Another thing I noticed was that the metal around the Allen key screws gets scratched very often. A solution I found for this was on Etsy, I'll try to provide a picture, but if not look up the kill key factory on Etsy. The screws make it so you don't need an Allen key. Also a preference but I also recommend getting a dark brown wrap rather than black, it gives a more realistic feel. The last small thing I noticed over a few weeks was that this emitter goes really low. What I mean by that is most saber blades go 3-4 inches into the hilt, but on the Oracle you can Definitely see the LEDs at the bottom, so if you're running a color like yellow, you're gonna see the different colors at the bottom used to make yellow. That's is, still am amazing product that I'm looking to get signed by Ashoka herself!
I'm so happy with my purchase. We'll worth the wait.
Our saber blades (Excluding Pixel blades) are rated for full contact dueling. Capable of withstanding heavy dueling, even against kendo bokkens, and nylon hema wasters. During the machining process, some sabers may develop sharp edges. This includes but is not limited to: gloves, body armor, face masks, and helmets. Always take the proper safety measures before dueling of any kind.
