Important Information

-Please use the provided accessories for charging your saber

-Do not raise the factory volume settings located in the general.txt file on your saber. If you wish to adjust the volume of your saber please utilize the [volume control menu]

-Remove pixel blade from saber before connecting to a charger

-Do not leave saber in Active Mode while connected to a charger

-Your saber must be in Standby Mode before connecting to a PC

-Copy the contents of your sabers SD card to your PC before making any edits to your saber via PC

-Always charge your saber before making edits to your saber via PC, or updating your sabers firmware

 

Saber Operation 

Basic Gestures/Functions

[SWING] - Move saber back and forth

[TWIST] - Twist saber back and forth like a bike handle, using wrist

[CLASH] - Impact to blade/saber

[STAB] – Point blade away from body, quickly jab outwards.

 

Out of the box

Your Hero Pixel saber will arrive semi-charged and in Deep Sleep Mode. Tap the power button to exit Deep Sleep Mode and enter Standby Mode.

  • Standby Mode is when the saber is awake but the blade is not lit.

  • Active Mode is when the saber is on and the blade is lit. 

  • Deep Sleep Mode is when your saber has been in Standby Mode for five (5) minutes.

Your Hero Pixel saber will return to Deep Sleep Mode automatically after remaining in Standby Mode for five (5) minutes.

 

Standby Mode

[Power on/Active mode] - To turn on the saber, tap the power button once. When the blade is lit the saber is in Active mode.

 

[Sound menu/Change sound font] – Point your saber blade up, hold button for two (2) seconds and then release the button. This will activate the sound menu. There are 26 preinstalled fonts on your Hero Pixel saber.

  • Twist saber back and forth to cycle through sound fonts one (1) at a time

    • Tap button to cycle through fonts five (5) at a time

  • Point blade tip up when twisting/tapping to cycle sound fonts forward

  • Point blade tip down when twisting/tapping to cycle sound fonts backwards

To leave sound menu or confirm sound font choice, hold button for two (2) seconds. A sound will play to confirm selection/menu exit

 

 

[Volume control menu/Adjust volume level] – Point your saber blade downwards and hold the button for two (2) seconds before releasing. This will activate the volume control menu. Twist saber to adjust volume level. To confirm volume selection and exit volume menu, tap button.

 

 

[Battery level indicator] – Hold button down and stab saber. Audio cue will play to confirm battery level indicator is active. Listen to audio for current battery level.

  • When you trigger the battery level indicator, audio will play and tell you the current voltage level of your saber. If your Pixel Blade is inserted while checking battery level, it will light up in correspondence to battery level.

(For example: if your battery level is at 100% your blade will fully illuminate. If your battery level is 50%, approximately half of your Pixel Blade will illuminate.)

 

[Calibrate battery] – While [Battery level indicator] is active, stab saber again to calibrate battery. For best results only calibrate your battery after fully charging

Your Hero Pixel saber arrives with the battery fully calibrated. Calibration helps your saber accurately track your current battery level.

 

[Reset saber] – Hold button for 10 seconds, release when LEDs begin flashing

 

When your lightsaber resets, the LEDs in your hilt/pixel blade will begin to flash. Once reset is complete, the LEDs will stop flashing and the boot sound of the last active sound font will play.

 

[Saber editor menu] – Point saber blade downwards and hold button. Twist saber. Editing options changes depending on which tier of saber you have.

  • Tap button to cycle through saber editor options

  • Point saber blade upwards to cycle forward through editor options

  • Point saber blade downwards to cycle backwards through editor options

  • Hold button for two (2) seconds to choose saber editor option

To leave saber editor menu, navigate to “Save and leave saber editor” option and hold down button for two (2) seconds to confirm selection.

 

SABER EDITOR MENU OPTIONS

Hero Pixel

  • Color profile

  • Pixel number – change numbers of pixels in a pixel blade without a computer

  • Ignition speed – change speed of blade ignition

  • Retraction speed – change speed of blade retraction

  • Battle configuration

  • Gesture controls

  • Save and leave editor

 

Active Mode

Active Mode Commands:

[TURN OFF BLADE/ENTER STANDBY MODE] – Hold button for three (3) seconds

[BLASTER BLOCK] – Tap button

[FORCE PUSH] – Hold button, twist saber, release button

[LOCK UP] – Hold button for two (2) seconds, release button, twist saber.

[END LOCK UP] – Tap button

[DRAG] – Hold button for two (2) seconds, release button while saber blade tip is pointed down.

[END DRAG] – Tap button

[STAB] – Thrust saber forward in jabbing motion.

[MELT] – Hold button for two (2) seconds, release button and preform [STAB]

[END MELT] – Tap button

[ACTIVATE/DEACTIVATE POWER SAVING MODE] – Hold button and [STAB]

[Enter color profile menu/Change blade color] – Hold button for 2 seconds, release button, tap button. There are 12 preprogrammed color options.

  • Twist saber back and forth to cycle through color profiles

  • Point blade tip up when twisting to cycle color profiles forward

  • Point blade tip down when twisting to cycle color profiles backwards

To confirm your color profile selection, hold the button for two (2) seconds. Sound will play to confirm selection/menu exit

 

[Enter effects menu/Change blade effects] – Hold button for two (2) seconds, release button, hold button for two (2) seconds.

There are two layers to blade effects. The first layer is the blade profile. The second layer is the on top effect.

  • Twist saber to cycle through blade profiles

  • Tap button to cycle through on top effects

  • Point blade tip up when twisting/tapping to cycle effects forward

  • Point blade tip downwards while twisting/tapping to cycle effects backwards

There are 36 blade profiles and 28 on top effects to choose from.

To leave effects menu or confirm effects choice, hold button for two (2) seconds. Sound will play to confirm selection/menu exit

 

[Change ignited/standby accent LED profiles]Only applicable to sabers with accent LEDs.

Ignited accents profiles determine how your sabers accent LEDs will behave while in active mode.

Standby accents profiles determine how your sabers accent LEDs will behave while in standby mode.

To activate menu, point saber blade downwards, hold button for two (2) seconds and release.

  • Tap button to cycle through ignited accent profile options

  • Hold button for two (2) seconds to confirm profile choice and/or advance to standby accent profile options

  • Hold button for two (2) seconds during standby accent options to leave menu

TROUBLESHOOTING

 

My blade is blinking and does not respond to any button taps. How can I fix that?

Your blade blinking and saber not responding indicates an SD card error. Please contact SF customer service for further assistance

 

My blade looks dim/white blade color looks yellow/is experiencing blade animation errors. How can I fix this?

Please charge your saber. The battery level of your saber can affect the brightness, color, and overall performance of your saber

 

There is stuttering/choppy/no sound from my saber. How can I fix it?

Sound errors can be the result of a low battery level, or corrupted files on your sabers SD card. Try the following troubleshooting options:

  1. Charge your saber

  1. [Reset saber]

  2. 1. Connect your saber to a PC and make a copy of the contents located on your sabers SD card.

  1. Follow the steps for correctly reformatting your saber located in the [INSERT LINK TO GHV3 SD CARD FORMATTING GUIDE HERE].

  2. When reformatting is completed replace the files onto your saber using the copy you saved to your computer in step 1
