I was excited to see that this had finally come in after so long a wait (which is understandable, considering the mess of everything), and I have to say I love it.
It has a wonderful heft to it that's not heavy, and the light on it is bright and vibrant. The wrapped handle feels good to hold, providing a solid grip. The charger is cool and functional, and the belt clip is pretty darn hardy, with handles on the side you have to depress to unsheath the lightsabre.
About my only complaint is that I thought the Warriors electronics came with the sounds, but it's just the light, and I should have gone with the Veteran's electronics. Regardless, this was a great birthday gift I got for myself and I can't wait to wear it out and about.
On a personal note, I've been a fan of Star Wars since I was a kid, and to have this in my hands feels like I'm about to go off on an adventure in a galaxy, far far away...
This lightsaber is among the best that I’ve ever purchased. The LED is incredibly bright and the speaker is loud enough to hear during the heat of battle (contrary to some other sabers I own). The design is even more beautiful in person. At nine inches, it’s a smaller one. This shoto saber is not meant to be used with a two handed grip and is certainly designed as a compliment saber to a full sized one. I’m beyond satisfied with my purchase. I did wait a full 14 weeks and six days before it shipped (just shy of the 10-15 weeks window they provided). And Saberforge did not update me until it shipped. So if you choose to purchase a lightsaber from this company, don’t worry about the four months of silence. Good luck on your quest for your elegant weapon for a more civilized age, or a fine addition to your collection. Either way, Saberforge has the largest selection of quality sabers that I’ve seen. A brilliant companion to my full length Sentinel Saber, compliments the design nicely with the shoto housing a short blade. Perfect for practising Jar’Kai (Twin Saber form).
They gave me the wrong blade side I think but honestly I don’t care lol. Great experiences and love the saber
Our saber blades (Excluding Pixel blades) are rated for full contact dueling. Capable of withstanding heavy dueling, even against kendo bokkens, and nylon hema wasters. During the machining process, some sabers may develop sharp edges. Before any contact dueling (as with any type of dueling), we recommend wearing proper safety protection for your hands, body and face. This includes but is not limited to: gloves, body armor, face masks, and helmets. Always take the proper safety measures before dueling of any kind. Saberforge is not responsible for any injuries that result from saber play, combat choreography or dueling.
